Prompt

In what ways do you think the author of "Lord of the Flies" foreshadows the ending throughout the book?


Throughout the first part of the book, the author makes Jack look like a mysterious, evil guy. Because the author does this, I think that Jack has a master plan to take over the group of kids. Why would the author have him come across as evil and then not use him as a foreshadowing tool?

    This is a really good prompt. I agree with Jack being mysterious and evil. The author does try to represent him as this, but he also portrays Jack as being sort of stupid. Good observations Wayne!
