Trends

In these reading assignments, I have noticed that there have been a lot of store about women. Maybe I am the only person that sees this, but I see it loud and clear. I don't understand why we read about women. Also, I have noticed that most of all these stories were written in the mid 1900's.

Annotating really confuses me. There are so many ways to annotate and I always get confused on what we are supposed to do. Also, these stories are very hard to understand and it makes you think hard about what is actually going on in the story. If the stories weren't as confusing, I would like this reading book a lot better.

  1. Wayne, please keep talking to me about confusion, about stories or about annotating. Remember you can count the time you spend reading stories toward your 120 minutes.

I think it is interesting that you describe the stories as all about women. Seven of the nine we've read have been by men and most have had male protagonists. All the stories have involved male characters except one. What makes you say the stories are all about women?
